By accessing and using Crowment ("Service"), you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our Service.
Crowment is a community components platform that provides embeddable widgets to help website owners engage their audiences. The Service currently includes a comment widget with plans for additional components such as feedback forms, ratings systems, and announcements banners. Each widget is designed to integrate seamlessly with any website using a simple embed code.
To use certain features of the Service, you must register for an account. You agree to:
Paid plans are billed in advance on a monthly or yearly basis. All payment processing — including checkout, subscriptions, renewals, plan changes, tax calculation, currency conversion, and payment method management — is handled entirely by our third-party payment processor. Crowment does not directly process, store, or handle your payment card data. By subscribing to a paid plan, you agree to:
We offer a free tier that allows you to fully test and evaluate our platform before committing to a paid subscription. The free tier includes core features with limited storage capacity, giving you the opportunity to experience the Service without any financial commitment.
Plan upgrades take effect immediately. Any proration or billing adjustment resulting from an upgrade is calculated and applied by our payment processor. Crowment does not calculate or apply any prorated charges directly.
Plan downgrades take effect immediately. The unused portion of your current plan is retained as a credit balance by our payment processor and will be applied automatically toward your next renewal charge. No cash refund is issued.
Widget blocking on exceeded limits: A downgrade can be requested regardless of your current usage. However, if your usage exceeds the new plan's limits when the downgrade takes effect, your widgets will be blocked from processing new data (such as accepting new comments or media uploads) until your usage is brought within the plan's limits or you upgrade to a suitable plan. Crowment is not liable for any loss or inconvenience resulting from such blocking.
You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings. Upon cancellation:
You may undo a cancellation at any time before your billing period ends.
If an automatic renewal payment fails, our payment processor will retry the charge automatically. If all retry attempts fail, a grace period may begin during which your subscription remains active. You will be notified by email. You can update your payment method through the customer portal provided by our payment processor.
If no successful payment is made by the end of the grace period, your subscription will be cancelled and your data will be preserved in a read-only state for a 2-month period as described in Section 7. If no new subscription is activated within this period, all data will be permanently and irreversibly deleted.
When a comment is deleted — whether by the comment author, the site owner, a moderator, or a platform administrator — the comment is soft deleted. Soft-deleted comments are no longer visible to users but are retained in our systems for 6 months to comply with legal requirements. After the 6-month retention period, the data is permanently and irreversibly deleted.
You may request deletion of your account at any time. Upon an account deletion request:
